How It Works

Two Clear Paths, One Straightforward Process

Clearline reviews commercial vehicles in several situations, including total-loss claims, damaged vehicles, fleet replacements, and standard direct-sale opportunities.

Path 1

If the Vehicle Was Declared a Total Loss

  1. 01Speak with your insurance company and request owner-retention terms in writing.
  2. 02Tell Clearline about the vehicle, damage, location, and written retention amount.
  3. 03If the vehicle qualifies, Clearline will provide a written, vehicle-specific offer.
  4. 04The owner reviews the offer and decides whether to proceed.
  5. 05If accepted and all requirements are satisfied, Clearline coordinates documentation, payment, release, and pickup.

The insurance company—not Clearline—determines whether owner retention is available and how it affects the insurance settlement.

Path 2

If the Vehicle Is Not a Total Loss

  1. 01Tell Clearline about the vehicle, condition, location, and reason for selling.
  2. 02Clearline reviews the vehicle and whether it fits its purchasing criteria.
  3. 03If interested, Clearline will provide a written offer.
  4. 04If accepted, Clearline coordinates documentation, payment, and pickup when needed.
